Specialization Course in

Sports Psychology

The course provides tools to understand and intervene in the performance and psychological well-being of athletes. Addresses fundamentals of sports psychology, evaluation of the athlete's profile, individual and group interventions, and the management of critical situations and well-being. The course culminates with the presentation of a practical project, applicable to real contexts of competitive and training sports.

Marco

Founder of Psychosports Accompaniment. He has been a sports psychologist at the FPF. He has directed the psychology departments of the Deportivo Municipal club, Alianza Lima and USMP. Master in Sports Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and Graduate in Psychology from the University of Lima, he has a diploma in Neurosciences Applied to Sports from the University of Gran Rosario Argentina. He has experience as an exhibitor and trainer in educational and sports institutions.

Veliz

He is a sports psychologist from the UPC Sports Program. He has held positions as coordinator of the Sports Psychology area at the Magdalena Municipal Football Academy and psychologist at Swim World. He has a Master's degree in Sports Psychology from the European University of Madrid and a Master's degree in teaching for Higher Education from the Andrés Bello University of Chile. He has a degree in Psychology from the UPC. He is a university professor at various prestigious institutions.

What are the objectives of the course?

  • 1.Understand the theoretical and ethical foundations of sports psychology, as well as the role of the professional in individual and group contexts.
  • 2.Apply psychological evaluation techniques to identify strengths, weaknesses and specific needs of the athlete.
  • 3.Analyze the psychosocial factors that influence sports performance, such as motivation, anxiety, environment and culture.
  • 4.Design individual interventions using applied psychological tools, focused on the mental and emotional development of the athlete.
  • 5.Develop group strategies to strengthen team cohesion, leadership and dynamics, applying principles of sports social psychology.
  • 6.Intervene in critical situations related to injuries, burnout or competitive pressure, promoting the psychological well-being of the athlete.
  • 7.Integrate the knowledge acquired into a final applied project, which articulates diagnosis, planning and intervention proposal in a real or simulated case.

To receive the digital certificate from UCV+ Executive Development Center of the César Vallejo University, you must reach the minimum grade of 11, attend at least 70% of the sessions and have canceled the entire course.
