Main objectives of the Congress
The main objective of the congress is to create a global collaborative network that brings together academics, scientists, entrepreneurs, public and private managers, and civil society in the search for cutting-edge technological solutions. These technologies are essential to mitigate the impacts of climate change and manage the associated risks, promoting sustainable development that benefits all regions of the world.
During the three days of this congress, topics that go beyond disciplinary boundaries will be addressed, highlighting the importance of innovation as a driver of change in environmental management.
Thematic Blocks:
- Technologies in external geodynamic disaster risk prevention and mitigation: early warning systems, terrain modeling and geospatial techniques to efficiently assess and manage geodynamic hazards.
- Technologies for the analysis of extreme hydroclimatic events: From predictive models to real-time monitoring systems.
- Geospatial technologies to assess climate change: From remote sensing to photogrammetry to assess climate change processes.
- Environmental biotechnology and its relation to climate change: Risks to human health and sustainable solutions to mitigate environmental impacts and adapt to climate change.
- Technologies to measure the impacts of climate change: From remote sensing to geographic information systems to assess the effects of climate change.

The GI - ICAMB (RCU N°200-2018-UCV) investigates the effects, adaptation and mitigation of climate change on the environment, biodiversity and humans. It develops predictive models of environmental quality for the conservation of natural resources and human health. In the field of climate change adaptation, it investigates circularity, reducing and transforming waste and residues into new products in an eco-friendly manner. ICAMB also investigates the production of clean and affordable energy, and responds inclusively to gender, social and cultural diversity.
