In a context of social activism for human rights, life, and democracy, and the commemoration of its 32nd anniversary, César Vallejo University (UCV, in Spanish) is pleased to announce the visit of renowned Tunisian businesswoman and activist Ouided Bouchamaoui, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015, who our institution will award an honorary doctorate.

From November 6 to 12, Bouchamaoui will deliver a keynote lecture at UCV based on her experience as a leader of the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet. This organization overcame a severe political and social crisis in her country.

“I have been invited to participate in this celebration. Very soon, I will be with you to celebrate together the anniversary of the largest university in Peru. I want to invite you to participate in this keynote lecture where I will share a bit of my story, and my career, and have the opportunity to converse with you,” mentioned Bouchamaoui.

The Arab activist will become the twelfth Nobel laureate to visit César Vallejo University. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from a woman who has contributed to peace and democracy in the world, embodying the values that UCV promotes: commitment, responsibility, innovation, and solidarity.

“I know that the UCV students are natural entrepreneurs, and I am very excited to go to Peru to meet and warmly greet its students who fight for their dreams, its teachers who bear the great responsibility of educating new professionals, the parents who support the young ones, and the collaborators who are a key element in an educational institution.” she expressed.
